Under the condition of if they did add it in that it needs new maps better suited to it, flat ground and open and also a team version.

Agreed! Bring back the snowballs!
On a side note, I always thought a water balloon arena would be fun for summer

If any thread made me see just how antagonistic people can be on gwguru its this one, it can be duplicated, but the fact is it puts everyone on equal level, we all dont have free slots.

Not going to bother reading the forum even though someone has probably already mentioned it. "Dragon arena" has already long existed as dodgeball. Just get a mez with 105 health, 16 fast cast, 12 air. Use dual attunements, lightning orb, windborn speed and ta da dragon arena. You can't recreate the rez sigs, but you just use the rez shrine and I think playing till you dp out is better than the method in dragon arena.

I have two points I'd like to comment on:
1. It's a great game. It's fun to see people drop to the floor with a scream and thud as they burn in dragon fire...
2. ...But because it's an instant kill skill it doesn't take alot of skill to hit a button and get free xp and faction. If the Dragon Arena stays it will be used to farm faction and random arenas will lose players.
Conclusion: In my honest opinion, I would like to see this Dragon Arena stay but if it does, I'd like to see that the faction rewards are decreased.

Take away the high ground and the arena'd be okay. Annoying if you're on/facing a camper team.
Rotating it into RA & TA could make things interesting but then I'd wonder how they'd handle rewards.

One of the main reasons this is fun is because it is new and fresh. These holiday games are meant to freshen up Guild Wars. Honestly, how many people would play it after a few months? It would become like The Jade Quarry. I have the same opinion of the Snowball Arena even though I enjoyed that one greatly as well.
The arena was meant to be played for a few days/week and thats how I think it should be kept.

if they gave u an inherent spell that says within 10 seconds of ressing this player cannot lose 10% max health

why? because thse are what make vents special and fun. If we had snowballs and dragon dodgeball everyday the once a year events wouldn't be so fun anymore making the event less special and more just "oh look decorations", and well there would be quests but the arenas are a big part of the event too. at least the snowballs were the dragon arena is a little less popular it seems.

It's elitist attitudes like yours that keep a lot of people from playing pvp at all, oh great holier than thou. Thanks to your kind, the only way I can enjoy pvp is to turn off local chat.
Back on topic, I regret not playing more snowball arena back in December, and it would be nice to have some fixed skillbar PVP that changed formats every so often but was always available. Call it "Seasonal Arena" or something like that. No faction or rewards to be gained from it, just good clean fun to break up the game's monotony.

as long as you don't turn off your team chat too it's cool!
my roommates and i have been playing dodgeball for hours, our guilds usually have our own dodgeball scrimmage but this is pretty fun too
just seems that our teammates always seem to ignore advice!
